Keenanonie: Buzz is caught!

Sammy was lucky enough to win a little Buzz Lightyear at a white elephant exchange during Christmas. Buzz must be losing his touch because when he thinks no one's around, I've walked in and caught him in some pretty strange places!

Trying to set Rico free in Santa Rosa.

Not sure if he's saving a runaway train here or just playing conductor.

(Did you know the caboose is where the conductor's "office" is traditionally located?)

Better work on your timing, Buzz. I'm beginning to think you're not just a toy after all!

Sammy Says

"Mama, will you couple my jacket?"

Recently been saying things like, "Mama, you're my best friend" "or "my favorite pal" or "my bud" or "my sweetie pie."

His title for the song "I Will" is "If I catch you."

Dada: [referencing recent library book] "Sammy, is Wildcat Annie the girl for you?"

Sammy: "No! Mama is."

Mama: "Sammy, who's your favorite babysitter?"

Sammy: "You are!"

Mama: "Oh, you're twisted" (reaching back from driver's seat)

Sammy: "I'm twisted? I'm? I'm? I'm not on the seat buckle."

Mama: (hearing Daniel cry) "I think he needs his mama."

Sammy: "I think he needs his boy."

Mama: "Why did you get up so early?

Sammy: "To play and sing and make."

Mama: "Do you remember who gave you this book?"

Sammy: "Abraham. I am pleased to have it."

Mama: "Doctors do a lot of good things. They help people get better."

Sammy: "No, Moms do."

"Sometimes spinning makes me lose a coupler."

(Driving a toy train slowly across the floor) "Out in the wilderness. . . chugging. . . chugging."

Mama: "Look at those happy birdies."

Sammy: "They have their moms."

(During potluck family picnic) Sammy: "Dada, I'm sick."

Keenan: "What will make you feel better?"

Sammy: "Something's in my mouth. . . not a grape" (proceeds to spit out an olive into a napkin).

"Come on, my son! To the promised land!!!" (Shouted, standing on the top of the couch with arms outstretched.)

After I showed Sammy the potatoes I harvested, he gave me a big smile and said, "Mama! I'm so proud of you!" I beamed.

Sitting between Keenan and me at 6:15 AM: "Why are these guys still sleeping?"
